SUMMARY:Second Friday Oklahoma Author's Booksigning
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, July 8\, Deer Clan Books will host Oklahoma author Glenda Edlin Stevenson at a book signing from 6:00-8:00 pm. \n\n\n\nAbout the Author - Glenda Edlin Stevenson\n\n\n\nHaving trained and worked in the accounting and teaching professions for a period of time\, Glenda Stevenson's passion to teach on the mission field came to fruition when she accepted an assignment in the Philippines. During her high school and college years Stevenson's published two poems and wrote for her college newspaper. While teaching in the Philippines\, Stevenson returned to her creative instincts and begin producing her own newsletter. After living on the islands for many years Glenda retired and returned to the states where she entered a period of culture shock and depression. It was during this emotional adjustment that she began journaling and eventually turned her pen to serious prose. Through the challenges of divorce\, single parenting\, and starting a new career Stevenson has journaled the ups and downs of her struggles\, all the while trusting that God would continue to give her direction. \n\n\n\nBecause of her own experiences in brokeness and in God's healing power\, Glenda now has a passion to share her journey and with others through her book "Journaling\, More Than A Diary". \n\n\n\nAvailable for $15.95 at Deer Clan Books.\n\n\n\nStevenson lives in Oklahoma City near her children and grandchildren and she is a member of Wordwright's Christian Writers Group and Creative Quills.
